The TOPSoccer Student Buddies are invaluable volunteers who work directly with individual players or within a team of players to enable participation in soccer activities. The TOPSoccer buddy is not a player and does not score goals. They help the TOPSoccer player succeed and keep them as safe as possible. TOPSoccer buddies can be same aged peers, a teenager, or an adult. They can be a soccer player, someone who works with special needs children or someone with no soccer experience but a strong desire to enable children to have fun. Some examples of the role of a Student Buddy are assisting/creating/directing/guiding/teaching in a FUN but learning environment, enables players to participate/play, continuously monitor/assess the player, interact with players, coaches and parent, and understanding that the Student Buddy role varies depending on the need of the player.
