CYA Soccer Academy
What is it?

The Chantilly Youth Association Academy Program was designed to enhance the experience your child recieves by participating in CYA Soccer.  The CYA  Academy  has been developed by the Soccer Board of Directors with input from many of our CYA Coaches over the past several year’s.    At the foundation of the program is the desire that we all have to effectively teach the fundamentals of our sport to kids of all ages.  We realize that many of our volunteers don’t have an extensive background in the game yet want to participate in mentoring our kids and working with them as they grow.  As we have said over and over, the CYA Soccer Program has been  built by these "mentors" and we are committed to providing them with the help they need to work with the kids.   Chantilly Soccer Academy

That’s where the Academy comes in...

The CYA Academy is a program that takes place once per week for all of our house league kids.  Each age group has a specific time where they go to receive professional skills training from our developmental specialist - Soccer Performance International (SPI).  SPI has been working with our kids for nearly 8 years and we are extremely proud of the association with them and the quality of the program we have developed together.  The SPI trainers are knowledgable and do a wonderful job introducing techniques to both the players AND the coaches.  In fact, coaches are encouraged to take part in the Academy sessions.  If you are interested in volunteering to become a "CYA Academy Coach", please let Andy Vera know.  Andy runs SPI and will incoroporate you into the training curriculum - you will learn a lot and enjoy working with all of the CYA players!  Andy can be reached at avera@spisoccer.com

CYA Soccer is committed to providing all of our players with the most exciting and educational program possible.  We hope you all participate and look forward to making enhancements to the Academy program over the next several years!
