CYA is sponsoring a class to train people to become certified Soccer Referees. The class is 18 hours long and will be held on 6 weeknights and one Saturday morning in September. All class sessions will be held at Rachel Carson Middle School, Room D107 (enter the school by the cafeteria). Cost of the class is $65.  Newly certified referees will have to purchase a referee uniform from a local store or on-line once they pass the course.

ATTENDANCE AT ALL THE WEEKNIGHT SESSIONS IS MANDATORY!

The Class dates are Sept. 9, 10, 12, 13 (Sat), 16, 17, and 19.  Weeknight classes will be from 7:00 - 9:30 PM.  The Saturday class will be from 9:00 AM - 12:00 noon. 

To see if there are other classes being held in the Chantilly area, please go to the State Referee Website, www.VaDCSoccerRef.com, and click on the "Online Registration" link on the left side of the page.  If you consider taking one of these classes, please look for "New Referee" classes at the Level/Grade 8.  (Note: This is NOT a person’s school grade; referee levels are called "grades".  CYA uses Level/Grade 8 referees.
