As is happening across the country with youth lacrosse, CYA anticipates a record number of Chantilly players will play lacrosse in 2010, many for the first time! In an effort to maximize the experience for all players, teams will be assembled based on past game experience and skill levels demonstrated at the upcoming evaluation sessions.
2010 Spring Evaluation Procedures
We participate in the Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League (NVYLL) season, and compete against other youth lacrosse organizations in the Northern Virginia area. NVYLL offers competition in the following categories:
A level – Most highly skilled and experienced players for each age group
B level –U11, U13 & U15- players have past game experience and good skill foundation
C level – U11, U13 & U15 - limited game experience / skills / beginners
Teams are selected to best match a player’s skill and athleticism with the level of competition that will allow the most development and participation.
Note: The A team level has a very limited mandatory player participation requirement and team members must commit to CYA Lacrosse as their PRIMARY sport in the spring.
