CYA Lacrosse will hold 2 primary player evaluations sessions (dates & times below) at the Word of Grace Athletic field. All players must be evalutated (with the exeption of U9) are encouraged to attend as many evaluation sessions as possible.Any player wanting to play on an “A" team must attend at least one evaluation. (see Evaluation and A team policy posted on website). New players to CYA lacrosse must bring proof of age (birth certificate, ID card, etc.)
Girls 2008 Evaluation schedule:
Sunday, February 3 (1pm-5pm) Sunday, February 10 (1pm-5pm)
U11 - 1:00pm - 2:15pm - report to check-in at 12:40
U13 - 2:20pm - 3:35pm - report to check-in at 2:00
U15 - 3:40pm - 5:00pm - report to check-in at 3:20
Weather make up: Saturday, February 23 (TBD) Sunday, February, 24 (1pm-5pm)

2008 Parents Meeting:
Please plan to attend to attend one of the informational parents meeting listed below. In addition to useful information about the 2008 season, Uniform and Spirt wear representatives will be on hand to take orders and answer any questions. These meeting will be held during the EP sessions at Worldgate at the dates/times listed below:
Friday, Feb. 1st 7pm-8pm U9/U11 parents
Monday Feb. 4, 6pm-7pm U13/U15 parents
Monday, Feb. 4, 7pm-8pm U9/U11 parents
If you are unable to attend your scheduled session please feel free to attend at another time.
Uniforms
Jerseysare included with your registration. The U9 and U11 jerseys are available in both youth and adult sizes. The U13 and U15 only come in adult sizes. Please indicate your size when registering.
We will be using the same kilts as last year. You will only need to purchase a kilt if you are new to the program (or you have lost/outgrown your kilt) The cost for a kilt is $20.Sizes run as follows: Adult XS, SM, MD, LG, XL. If you have lost or outgrown your kilt from last year or are new to the program please email sherrypalmucci@hotmail.com.
2008 Age Groups
U9 Players - Birth dates of 1999, 2000, and 2001 U11 Players - Birth dates of 1997 and 1998
U13 Players - Birth dates of 1995 and 1996
U15 Players - Birth dates of 1993 and 1994*
*9th grade players who are not yet 15 and do not play on their high school team may play this spring as well as 8th grade players who are already 15 (per NVYLL Policy 1.0.4).
CYA Girls lacrosse must conform to NVYLL and US lacrosse rules on age groups. These rules are based on the players birth year and not the player’s school year. A player may not play down in age group to be with schoolmates or friends. There is also a strict policy on players wanting to play up an age group. Please refer to the policy posted on the website for more information.
Season Schedule
Lacrosse practices can start as early as February 15, most will start on March 1st with games played on Sundays (first game is March 30) continuing through early June. No games are scheduled over Easter or Memorial weekends. Some teams participate in Post Season Tournaments.
