5.      Discussion:

·        Judy asked about insurance certificates, Ed described the process and will resend a refresher “FAQ” about it

·        Ralph announced that there will be a March 3^rd Planning Commission meeting (7pm?) where approval for lighting Colin Powell fields will be determined – all Board members and Coordinators ware encouraged to attend (primarily supports SYA lighted diamond use which will relieve pressure being put on the county for SYA to use Greenbriar diamonds.

6.      Corporate Fundraising – Bill Bailey

·        Need volunteers to help

·        Nee to remind membership of Visa card fundraiser

·        Ed to send emails re: above

·        With fields being lost (EDS, Post, and Barnsfield) corporate fundraising is going to become much more important

7.      Word of Grace (WOG) Status Report – Ed Miller

·        Need additional volunteers to help manage / operate fields

·        Field #2 construction is behind schedule and is now targeted for early April use

8.      Registration, Sports Reporting, and Facility Allocations – Karen Shores

·        Ralph announced the permits for all groups were being held up for a month until our check was submitted – rosters must be submitted on time!

·        Karen will contact all coordinators and provide schedules and deadlines for roster submissions

·        Roster residency requirements are still unclear

·        There appear to be firewall restrictions using the AGC program – need to address this issue with Demosphere (contact Rick Shryock for specific details about the problem).

9.      Insurance – Ed Miller

·        Nothing to report

10. Safety/KidSafe – Jack Smit

·        Nothing to report

·        No report

14. Discussion for the good of CYA

·        CYA Board members will attend and support the Fairfax County Football Hall of Fame on March 6^th

·        All winter basketball tournaments are scheduled for completion by March 15^th
