The Chantilly Youth Association (CYA) will hold it's annual general membership meeting and elections for positions on the CYA Board of Directors at 8pm on Tuesday, October 15th, 2019 at The Fieldhouse, 14810 Murdock Street, Chantilly, VA 20151. All CYA members are invited and encouraged to attend! All of the Candidates will have an opportunity to make a presentation at the meeting.
The CYA Board of Directors is comprised of 11 total members. This year, 6 positions are up for election: President, Secretary and 4 “at large” positions.

Please read the candidate Bio's below and use the link at the bottom of this page to cast your vote! Voting can also be done in person at THE FIELDHOUSE weekdays between 10-4pm. Please come in and ask for Heidi Howser, CYA Administrator. If you are designating someone to vote in person on your behalf, you must fill out the Proxy form via the link at the bottom of this page. The competed Proxy form must be delivered to the CYA Office and verified in order to be valid.
Chris is currently the President of CYA and has held that position since 2017.
Current CYA Board Secretary. Rich Schwarzkopf has been a member of CYA for over 17 years. A native of Northern Virginia, he grew up in Falls Church and now raises his family in the Chantilly suburb of Oak Hill. During his CYA tenure, Rich has worn many hats within the CYA organization to include a Coach, an Age Group Coordinator, an All-Star coordinator the Club Administrator, a Board Member at Large and currently the CYA Board Secretary. He has coached teams from U6 to U19 in the CYA Soccer recreational and travel programs concurrently coordinating multiple age groups and managing the All-Star program. As the CYA Administrator, Rich administered the CYA registration system used by all sports within the CYA program and supported the Demosphere migration to the current registration system. Having transitioned the registration system responsibilities to on-staff personnel, he now focuses time on program oversight and governance activities serving on numerous committees and initiatives for the CYA BoD. Rich has served on the CYA Board as Secretary and a Board Member at Large since 2010. Professionally, Rich is a Vice President with SalientCRGT Corporation. He is a senior manager/engineer/architect with over 30 years of experience in project management, system engineering, and full life cycle development. He has experience with the development of large-scale production support systems with high volume document and photographic imaging components; vast experience in the design and development of custom systems integrating GOTS and COTS products to provide an enterprise-wide system solutions; and strong customer relationship skills through years of working directly with customers to help identify needs, solve problems and manage challenges in a cost effective and efficient manner. Rich has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Management as well as maintaining current PMP, ITIL and CSM certifications.

ONLINE VOTING INSTRUCTIONS
If you are voting by "Online Ballot" below, you will be submitting your vote via the CYA Registration System. The system requires you to submit your vote via your "household". Starting with Registration Step 1.3, select "Register a Participant." In Step 2.2, select "CYA Board of Directors - Election Ballot - 2019 General Election" from the available program options.
If you are submitting a proxy or voting in person, please come to THE FIELDHOUSE - Monday through Friday, between 10:00am - 4:00pm. Secure your ballot from our CYA Administrator, Heidi Howser, complete and submit to her. Completed ballots, individual or proxy, must be given to our CYA Administrator.
"In Person" voting ends at The Fieldhouse at 4pm on October 15th, 2019.
